Nice Deb

Greta Van Susteren had Karl Rove on her show, Friday night, to discuss the Holder/AP/Fox News scandal in the wake of  reports that Eric Holder approved the search warrant for James Rosen’s private emails.

Attorney General Eric Holder signed off on a controversial search warrant that identified Fox News reporter James Rosen as a “possible co-conspirator” in violations of the Espionage Act and authorized seizure of his private emails, a law enforcement official told NBC News on Thursday.

Rove was probably chomping at the bit to get on the show, knowing what Holder recently testified before Congress:

“First of all you’ve got a long way to go to try to prosecute the press for publication of material. This has not fared well in American history… In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would…

The Resurrection is a Fact

Posted: May 11, 2013 in Uncategorized

Samuel at Gilgal

Chuck ColsonCharles Colson:

I know the resurrection is a fact, and Watergate proved it to me. How? Because 12 men testified they had seen Jesus raised from the dead, then they proclaimed that truth for 40 years, never once denying it. Every one was beaten, tortured, stoned and put in prison. They would not have endured that if it weren’t true. Watergate embroiled 12 of the most powerful men in the world – and they couldn’t keep a lie for three weeks. You’re telling me 12 apostles could keep a lie for 40 years? Absolutely impossible.

I’ll let the articles speak for themselves, but also want to point out that going forth and spreading the Word is part of living your life as a Christian, Jesus tells us to do so.  Does that mean that Christianity has been outlawed in the military?

This is not new from this Administration (who will stand with the) remember this one from December 2011?

And in the  President’s own words:

The Audacity of Hope [pg. 261]: “Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” (emphasis added).

This new step in the wake of the Boston Marathon Bombing is amazing.  Have the political winds shifted? Are they about to?

FRC has a petition to stop this which you can sign here.

Please pray for our country, and our leaders.  Let’s pray that God will grant wisdom and discernment upon all of those in power.  I think that’s the only thing we can do.

It seems as if there is someone that stupid….

Watts Up With That?

From the Fahrenheit 451 department comes this indictment of California’s higher education’s “tolerance” for opposing views. When I first got the tip on this, I thought to myself “nobody can be this stupid to photograph themselves doing this” but, here they are, right from the San Jose State University Meteorology Department web page:

SJSU_bookfire

The caption from the SJSU website reads:

This week we received a deluge of free books from the Heartland Institute {this or this }. The book is entitled “The Mad, Mad, Made World of Climatism”. SHown above, Drs. Bridger and Clements test the flammability of the book.

Maybe they just can’t help themselves, note the pictures on the wall.

Here is a screencap of the website relevant section:

Common Core Curriculum

This article will be updated and reposted as I gather information.  This topic is gaining traction in all 50 states because at its core it seeks to divide the parent from the child in all things educational.  It is a federal/global guideline established without oversight and being implented without parental discretion, while at the same time they change the FERPA laws to diminish child privacy rights and seek to monitor every aspect of our children in order to “help them” find their place in society.

http://www.corestandards.org/the-standards From the Common Core State Standards Initiative, this is a link to proposed new standards.

Common Core Curriculum is a new set of learning standards for kindergarten through high school that have been implemented with alarming speed and without proper oversight, and testing.  It is Federal in scope, and all 50 states will be using the same set of standards.

“Person enrollment tracker”?  “Single unique I.D.”?

The following page is not written by me.  It’s pasted  word for word, directly from the Texas Student Data System, the group which collects data on every student in every governmentally funded school in Texas.  They are not even pretending to protect student privacy anymore.

See:  http://www.tea.state.tx.us/TSDS/Education_Data_Warehouse/Unique_ID/

Why Is TSDS Unique ID Necessary?

TSDS Unique ID is necessary in order to integrate the various subsystems of TSDS smoothly and accurately.  Since TEA will run both TSDS and the legacy EDIT+ systems in parallel for some time, Unique ID must be used with both systems.

Read TEA’s official letter on Unique ID training and TEA Login (TEAL).

How Will Unique ID Be Used?

NOTE: Unique ID training is now available from the ESCs!  Contact your ESC for details.

Local education agencies (LEAs—Texas school districts and charter schools) must use Unique ID numbers…

Danette Clark

By Danette Clark

There are some states that seem to have just completely thrown it all away.

It’s not surprising to find a liberal school on every corner in parts of California, Illinois, and New York; but what are Arkansas, Colorado, and Utah doing? Are the people in charge of education in these states just not paying attention, or are they closet progressives who know exactly what they’re doing?

Do our tax dollars not pay for someone to review lessons before they are approved for use in the classroom, or are our education leaders just that ignorant about the history of our country?

Whether ignorant or maniacal, these people have got to go. If conservative legislators in these states don’t get busy pursuing the truth and making the hard decisions that need to be made to reverse course, then they need to go as well.

As far back as 1999, the Coalition of Essential Schools began working in…

“This is the problem when police officers and police departments have a financial interest in doing their job. We got rid of bounty hunters because they were not a good thing. This is modern day bounty hunting.”—Public Defender John Rekowski

Long before Americans charted their revolutionary course in pursuit of happiness, it was “life, liberty, and property” which constituted the golden triad of essential rights that the government was charged with respecting and protecting. To the colonists, smarting from mistreatment at the hands of the British crown, protecting their property from governmental abuse was just as critical as preserving their lives and liberties. As the colonists understood, if the government can arbitrarily take away your property, you have no true rights. You’re nothing more than a serf or a slave.

The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was born of this need…
