A Prophecy of Israel

I read about an interesting Biblical prophecy the other day and I thought I would share it.  The prophecy starts with Ezekiel 4:4-6.

4  Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5  For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6  And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

Ezekiel is told to lie on his side, and every day he lies on his side will signify a year of judgement against the nation of Israel.
He was on his left side for 390 days and his right side for 40 days, which equals 430 days or years of judgement to come to Israel.

In 606 BC. Israel was taken into captivity by the Babylonians, and was held in captivity for exactly 70 years, or until 536 BC.  This leaves 360 years of judgement against the nation of Israel.  430 – 70 = 360.   Apparently this confused Biblical scholars, because there was no record of a captivity or a dispersion that lasted 360 years.

Then someone noticed Leviticus Chapter 26.

26:18  And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
26:21  And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
26:27  And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
26:28  Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

These verses foretold a 7x judgement if Israel did not repent.  Let’s apply that 7x judgement to our remaining 360 years of judgement.

360 x 7 = 2,520 years of judgement against the nation of Israel remained.

Since the Jewish calendar was a 360 day year which added leap months at set years, we will convert into our modern Julian calendar.

2,520 years X 360(Jewish calendar) = 907,200 days

907,200 / 365.25 (Julian year length of days) = 2,483.78 years of judgement against the nation of Israel.

Now lets add 2,483 years to where we left off at 536 BC and we come to 1947.

Add 1 year, because there was not a 0 AD and the result is 1948, the year Israel was reinstated as a nation.

Everything that God told the Israelites happened exactly as He said it would happen.

Ezekiel 37:21  And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

Do you know Jesus?

In the present state of the world, there is not a more important thing for you or your family, than a personal relationship with Jesus Christ the Son of God.  We have only to ask for salvation and it is granted to us sinners saved through grace.  If there is no one you can call for guidance then just get on your knees and open your heart to God, ask for Jesus, the son of God, to come into your heart, and repent of your sins.

  1. This sounds like prophecy regarding the Tribulation. Good post… keep up the good work.

  2. Etienne says:

For thousands of years the Jews have believed in G-d. For thousands of years, for the most part they were a majority G-d fearing people. Only a few of them sinned against G-d. Today, less than HALF of the Jews left in this world (after thousands of years of suffering – murdered everywhere they were forced to by their fellow humans) are believers in G-d. Jews today are majority secular. That is why you have 70% of them both supporting and voting for the Democratic U.S. presidential candidate, a person who could care less for their survival & even less for the Jewish (& Christian) homeland, Israel. I should know, I have two brothers who hate Judaism, do not believe in G-d and wish Israel were gone, unfortunately. They are both huge 0buma supporters. This is the state of Judaism today, secular. My problem with your figure, and prophecy to begin with is thus: Why would G-d wait 2,500 years to all of a sudden start HELPING his people, who for the most part, are agnostic today? Yes, Jews have survived against incredible odds but I attribute this to the makeup of their character, their inherent, instinctual survival mechanism.

Nothing is different today than it was in the beginning. Some people believe in God and some do not, that has not changed either. All are sinners in the eyes of God, not just some. The 10 commandments were created to show that mankind could never justify itself without the help of God. As for Him starting to help the Jews 2500 years later, well I don’t believe that anywhere He said He would stop helping them. Without His help, could they have survived pogroms, genocides, and persecutions throughout all of their history? I was trying to show the infallibility of the word of God, and that what He sates WILL happen. I wish I had a better explanation for you, but I hope that suffices…
