Despite the Republican National Party’s many failures, I applaud their consistency. They consistently disappoint, and they consistently appoint “The Lesser of Two Evils” as their nominee, but they also consistently support man’s right to unfettered worship. That, in essence, is liberty. The same used to be applicable to the Democratic National Party as well. Sadly it seems, it is no longer true.
There was eye-opening kabuki theater recently witnessed at the Democratic National Convention, where dropping God from the platform and then voting three times before readmitting the language, was considered a mistake or an oversight. Skepticism still abounds in the minds of many.
Conscience driven voters (on the Right and the Left) feel increasing infringement on their core principles and beliefs, namely their belief in a Judeo-Christian God, and its underlying moral commandments. They are being told at every turn, that what they know is wrong, misinterpreted, or outdated. This is to be resisted. From how to live you’re life, to societal cohesion, and especially individual salvation through Christ, the Bible, in my opinion, is infallible.
In 2010, a Fox news promo announced that scientists had finally solved the age old chicken or egg quandary. I turned to my girlfriend and said ” It was the chicken.” She inquired as to my certainty and I explained that it was stated so in Genesis. If such in inconsequential question is answered why not the more difficult?
Genesis 1:21 “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” (Emphasis added.)
An article on Huffington Post, by Charles J. Reid (read it at Huffington Post HERE), argues that the Republicans have left God out of their platform in more than name. This is an emerging pattern of thought on the part of the DNC, and is actually a political tool developed to deceive and divide Christians. The tool is call Liberation Theology, which I posted about yesterday, and is an interpretation of the Bible as seen through the prism of Class Struggle. Many verses are confused or twisted to subtly change the context. As in Matthew 25:35-36 when it is read to imply that it is the government that is responsible for charity (thereby freeing the individual of God’s requirement). An act of charity cannot be accomplished through an act of theft! What is forgotten by the Left with this argument is that taxes are not charitable contributions. The ends do not justify the means.

I see a division arising within the church community that could prove to be damning without an educated and motivated evangelical base actively combating the twisting of Jesus’ message. Teaching the truth about God’s Word with the love of Christ, and not partisan politics, in our hearts. Salvation is not a plan of governments, or of centralized bankers. Heaven is not earned, and equal distribution of material goods will only result in unchanged individuals with more or less material goods. The price of salvation is indeed giving up your life, but it is the ownership of your life that you give to Jesus not a cashier’s check with your signature. With a true relationship with God, one gives as a way of life and not at the behest of men with political science degrees.
I notice Mr. Reid did not include Matthew 25:40, in his article defending the party demanding tax payer funded abortion. He seemed to somehow miss it.
Mat 25:40 “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
United we stand,
divided we fall.
